"That's true: I won't see this movie because I'm scared it won't make any money."
I found it interesting.
Please read mine and tell me what you think.
and the studio exec - funny, too!
Very, very clever and very, very well done. Very well done.
Studio Exec: Now, you're getting it!
Ha-ha-ha!
The only thing is, that in 1975, I really don't think an Exec would be pitching the ideas that you have here.
It may work better with a newer film, but a simple one like Jaws.
This reminds me of the story Kevin Smith tells at his Q&A's about him and Producer John Peters (Batman, Rain Man). Kevin was hired for a rewrite on a Superman script and Peter's was just, cooky and strange.. I can see the producer in this sketch being Peters. You can find it on Youtube. It's a FUNNY story and has a GREAT ending.
Thanks for your comments!

Spielberg: So there's this alien.
Exec: And he's huge?
S: Nope, kinda small actually.
E: But he eats people?
S: Well, candy. He likes candy.
Would work with Close Encounters too...
It's basically about a freshwater shark that starts eatin' everybuddeh. ... Yum.
Then there's something about a treasure, but it's mostly shark teeth and guts.
DO what DOuglas said to do, sequels dude sequels! :D!

I think the Peter Benchley novel really helped seal the deal, though (sorry, had to throw that in there ;} )
