O.K., don't be shy. I was thinking about putting a video on our homepage that would be a sort of "about us" dialog about Zhura. I want to capture the spirit of the site, the idea that we are creating a "virtual writers table", where mass collaboration can produce great content. Please read and hack up to best send the message.

Could be...but doesn't have to be me. I'd love to see some one else do this. Either way, I'd like input on the dialog, and any notes along the way (like, cut to a script being edited), etc.. If the script can get tightened up and worded in a way that gets the message across, I'll film it. If someone else films it, that's great too! (BTW, that would qualify for the Infomercial prize....)

Because it is so straightforward there has to be an element
of entertainment value that holds my attention. The iphone is a great
example of how they took a straightforward approach to a unique product and did a 30 second demo. If you look at this that way-you are a product- then you can engage
people. I think it needs a simplistic approach. That's my ad-head talking.

Beth, I was thinking that this is less of an ad, and more of some information for someone who has arrived at our home page. A "Welcome, here's what we're all about". I'm so close to this site, I'm not sure if people get the concept as quickly as they could with a little introduction.

I understand. You still need to engage people in the information.. so without being ad-dy it needs some visual support in an interesting way to explain what you are all about. (not that you're not riviting)but it's a lot of information. I still think simplistic.

Had some fun with this. While the Announcer is doing the voice over, I've got a story going on that I hope conveys the concept in an unusual and entertaining way.
