Biography
NOTE: I recently moved to a great new town in the neighborhood called www.TalentVille.com where site criticism and free speech are tolerated.
Come and join me there!
NOTE:
EFFECTIVE TODAY, MAY 24, 2010, I AM BANISHED FROM THIS SITE IN VIOLATION OF 1ST AMENDMENT GUARANTEES TO FREE SPEECH - FOR POSING CRITICAL (AND RESPONSIBLE) COMMENTS ABOUT AN ED BURNS WEB SERIES CALLED 'THE LYNCH KEY' THAT I FIND UTTERLY VIOLENT AND IRRESPONSIBLE. THOSE POSTS WERE MADE ON A TOPIC CALLED 'THE LYNCH KEY,' CREATED BY KEITH MARTIN, WHICH SITE MANAGEMENT REMOVED FROM THE BOARDS, AND WHICH FORMED THE SOLE BASIS OF MY EXPULSION FROM THE SITE.
I DID NOTHING ELSE.
YOUR WRITER'S WORDS ARE INSIGNIFICANT, WORTHLESS IF YOU LOSE YOUR RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH.
DEFEND YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO SPEAK FREELY AND RESPONSIBLY.
NOTE: I was suspended for one-week (from May 11, 2010) for my comments and site criticisms posted on the Discussion Topic: SITE REPRESENTATION, which was deleted and removed from the Discussions Board. I was not permitted to message, reply to, or have site contact with those of you who wrote to me. I apologize to you for this Site's limitations on speech. Thank you for your messages.
Writers Beware: Free Speech isn't free. Defend it with your every word.
Scripped.com is not a company of the future in the movie and television industry, I believe, but rather just one more business supporting and perpetuating sexism in Hollywood and NY. Scripp Guys are reminded that suppression of minority voice, or repression of criticism, not only is unhealthy and dangerous (often backfires) but, historically, the singular cause for disintegration and demise of many public companies.
In early 2010 Scripped.com moved its operations from LA to San Francisco to be part and take advantage of consulting and mentoring services offered by i/o Ventures, a new business whose twenty-four (24) tech-innovator-consultants are 100% men, not a woman among them. This i/o Ventures will take Scripped.com into the future. Women aren't invited to take the trip. Women are ignored; and their important voices still not being heard.
Contest entries should be CODED to ensure gender-neutrality, and eliminate other unfair name bias by judging officials. Outrageous sex discrimination prevails throughout the entire movie and television industry. Script Guys are part of the problem; and not any part of the solution.
Women are half of membership on this site in 2010, and half of all operating revenue received by the Scripp Guys. Women must still play by male-imposed rules, or their screen/teleplays will not become movies or television shows. Woman have a choice: you can tell the male-dominated management team, and the male-dominated industry professionals that you are mad as hell. Tell them loud and clear. Tell them you're not going to take it anymore. Then tell them again. Let your female voice be heard.
Women have a number of other options: legal, public, and governmental.
Equal Opportunity is the law of the land in the United State of America.
Hollywood industries and script-writing businesses are not exempt.
Credible evidence suggests that there are NOT 60,000 world-wide members on this site as advertised. It is believed Scripp Guys create dummy accounts to inflate userbase numbers. If this is so, it constitutes misrepresentation to website membership and the world-wide community.
Women could be a much larger percentage of total site membership.
Hope direct-links below help some writers. Good Luck to all writers.
